Frequently asked questions
A Game Coach is a Home Front crew member who leads your party guests through the various games. The Game Coach starts the party by dividing the kids into balanced teams, providing a briefing on how the taggers work, safety rules for game play and boundaries of the battlefield. The Game Coach also describes each game before play begins including objectives, changes to health / damages points, and possible strategy hints.
Home Front Laser Tag is fun & safe. There is no actual "laser" that could injure eyes - our technology actual uses a beam of infrared light similar to a TV remote. We will also assess the game play zone to reduce possible hazards while we're setting up our barriers. There is small risk of injury due to the nature of laser tag (hiding, running) and therefore all players / guardians must sign our liability waiver prior to participating. Safety is a priority and we will reenforce the rules if we see players getting too rowdy.
While our taggers are water resistant, they are not waterproof. In the event of heavy rain or other inclement weather, we may reserve the right to reschedule your service to another date/time for your safety and the protection of our equipment.
The equipment we use and the tactical-style games we play are designed for ages 7 and up. Use of the laser tag equipment may be allowed for those 5-6 years of age without prior approval of Game Coach. Any player under 5 years of age will be allowed to play at the sole discretion of the Game Coach for the safety of the child and our equipment.
The ideal space for a laser tag playing field varies based on a few things such as age of party guests, number of party guests and any existing natural boundaries. A small as small as 30' x 50' all the up to a large open field can work. The optimal space is around 50' x 60' but if you have any questions or concerns about if your space will work, feel free to reach out via email or text and we can measure the yard or offer our honest opinion on if we think your space will work. The space doesn't need to be straight either - some of the best playing fields are an elbow shape!
In short, YES but there's a few things to keep in mind before booking us for a park party.
1. ) You *MUST* have a confirmed rental with the Town. This could be a shelter/field but we CANNOT show up to lead a party at a park where you do not have a reservation.
2.) Keep in mind that when you're booking a SHELTER, it does not guarantee you grassy area space unless your rental application states it does. We arrive to your rental location 30-45 minutes early to set up but we cannot/will not ask anyone to leave the grassy areas around a shelter. Please make sure you arrive early enough to stake your claim on the grassy space near your shelter rental.
3.) Your shelter/field rental application needs to state that you are hiring us as part of your booking. Please describe us as "laser tag with inflatable bunkers" if you pick the inflatable package. They will likely ask you for our certificate of insurance which we can provide within 48 hours when needed. Not all local parks will allow our type of business to operate in their space. Please make sure you disclose and get permission before booking to avoid any potential conflicts on the day-of.
This is not a complete list but rather a list of parks we have already hosted a party at or have already been given confirmation with the town! Please reach out to your local Town Parks & Recs rental office if you want to inquire about using our services in conjunction with your rental before booking. It is the clients responsibility to secure approval but we will assist in any way we can. Remember to describe our services as "laser tag with inflatable bunkers" when talking with the staff.

Yes, we have liability insurance. COI's are available upon request with a minimum of least 1 business day notice.
We play a variety of games during your 90 minute event. Games played are dependent on players age and overall skill level. Games include: Free-for-All, Capture the Flag, Team Elimination, Juggernaut, Secret General (similar to protect the President), Search & Destroy, and Moneyball ("collect & protect" style game).
Each round is approx. 6 minutes long. Some games such as Secret General and Capture the Flag run shorter and we play them back a few times for the duration of 6 minutes.
More than 14 guests is not a problem as we can switch after the 6 minute rounds, as needed. The staff will decide the first 14 players and ask for volunteers when it's time to switch. If no volunteers, the Game Coach will select players to trade in and out.
